About the Worldwide Australian Labradoodle Association
Founded by members in the United States and Canada, WALA has grown into a diverse, international organization with members across 31 countries and 7 regions. Our vast membership spans seven global regions: North America, South America, Europe, the United Kingdom & Ireland, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia & New Zealand.
WALA is united by a shared commitment to responsible breeding and and to protecting the long-term health, consistency, and well-being of the Australian Labradoodle (ALD). Through education, collaboration, and guiding principles, WALA brings breeders together to preserve the qualities that define this purpose-bred companion.
WALA values the perspectives and experience of its international membership and recognizes that collaboration strengthens education and informed decision-making. By encouraging mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and professional connection, WALA supports breeders worldwide and promotes responsible, ethical breeding practices.

WALA members are dedicated to upholding integrity and ethical practices in their dealings with fellow breeders and pet families. WALA has established Rules and Regulations and a written Code of Ethics that must be adhered to by all breeder members.
BREED PRESERVATION
The Australian Labradoodle breed is preserved and advanced through WALA Breed Standards, and its members’ commitment to health testing and careful selection of breeding stock with a focus on health, temperament, coat, structure, and genetic diversity.
